This role provides professional night patrol and response coverage across a small group of rural estates and properties. You will work alone in a marked patrol vehicle, carrying out patrols, checking properties, and responding to incidents. The role is focused on visible deterrence, early identification of suspicious activity, and clear evidential reporting.
This is not a static guarding role. It requires sound judgement, strong observation skills, and the ability to work independently at night in remote rural areas. You will also need to deal professionally with estate owners, staff, police, and members of the public.

Oxdrove Security provides professional rural patrol and response services to estates and landowners in Hampshire. We operate through a Patrol Footprint model, supporting a small number of neighbouring estates with dedicated night patrols and clear daytime security leadership. This concentrated model allows stronger deterrence, better local knowledge, and more consistent management of security risk across the area.
Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle patrols across multiple estates during the night shift
- Maintain a visible and professional presence to deter criminal activity
- Check gates, tracks, buildings, yards, vehicles, plant and equipment
- Identify suspicious activity, unusual vehicles, and abnormal behaviour
- Record observations accurately through patrol logs, incident reports, and evidence capture
- Respond to alarms, suspicious activity, and reports from owners or estate staff
- Challenge suspicious individuals where safe and appropriate
- De-escalate situations where possible and withdraw if risk escalates
- Contact police or emergency services when required
- Operate the patrol vehicle and issued equipment, including body-worn camera, dashcam, torch, and communications devices
- Use drone capability where trained and authorised
- Provide basic first aid if required and operate AED equipment in an emergency
- Maintain high standards of conduct, reliability, and evidential reporting at all times
- Represent Oxdrove professionally in all interactions
Qualifications and experience
Required
- Valid SIA licence
- Full UK driving licence with no disqualifications and no more than 6 penalty points
- Right to work in the UK
- Clear spoken and written English
- Ability to work alone at night in rural and remote environments
- 5 years' experience in a security, military, police, or similar operational role
Desirable
- Experience in mobile patrol security
- Military, police, prison service, or similar operational background
- Experience working independently in operational roles
- Familiarity with rural estates, farms, or countryside environments
- First aid qualification
- Drone experience or interest in undertaking training

The Security Co-ordinator is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of security operations across a major private estate in Hampshire. The role requires a proactive, highly professional individual capable of operating independently while maintaining close coordination with estate management.
The successful candidate will ensure the safety, security, and smooth operation of the estate through structured procedures, visible presence, and effective management of systems and contractors. The Security Co-ordinator reports to the estate's Property Manager and works closely with the principal's private security arrangements.
This is a senior role demanding discretion, sound judgement, and the ability to act as the standalone lead for the estate's security function while on shift.

The Security Co-ordinator is employed by Oxdrove and deployed to the client estate on a long-term contract.
Responsibilities
Security operations
- Provide and oversee daytime security presence across the estate
- Conduct regular patrols of all residences, grounds, and access points
- Ensure all estate security measures are maintained to a high standard
- Act as the primary point of contact for all on-site security matters during shift
Systems and control room management
- Manage the CCTV control room
- Monitor, maintain, and review CCTV systems and recordings
- Operate alarm systems, gate controls, lighting controls, and integrated security panels
Policies, procedures, and compliance
- Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures
- Review procedures regularly and align with best practice
- Maintain full compliance with estate policies and confidentiality requirements
Access control and asset security
- Manage and maintain key control systems, gate access codes, and entry permissions
- Oversee secure handling of deliveries: receiving, logging, and distributing parcels across the estate
Estate support duties
- Provide practical support to estate operations while on patrol
- Deliver logs and documentation, conduct monthly meter readings, clean CCTV cameras
- Assist estate staff as required in a professional and security-conscious manner
Security support for estate staff
- Act as the main point of contact for security-related questions or issues raised by staff
- Support staff in the operation of security systems, including alarms, gates, keys, camera and lighting panels
- Resolve practical issues such as forgotten access codes, lost keys, or lost work mobile phones
Contractor and external liaison
- Manage and liaise with external providers, including electric gate contractors and security system providers
- Oversee security-related maintenance schedules with the Property Manager
- Ensure contractor performance standards are met
Documentation and records management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including Non-Disclosure Agreements with annual tracking and renewals
- Produce incident reports and daily logs
- Obtain nightly reports and logs from the night patrol team
- Ensure all documentation is securely stored and easily auditable
Departmental responsibility
- Take full ownership of the estate security function during your shift
- Operate as the standalone security lead on shift
Qualifications and experience
Required
- Demonstrable prior experience in high-end residential or private estate security. This is the single most important requirement for this role. Candidates without direct, verifiable experience in residential or estate security will not be considered, regardless of other operational background
- Valid SIA licence
- Full UK driving licence with no disqualifications and no more than 6 penalty points
- Right to work in the UK
- Clear spoken and written English
- Strong working knowledge of CCTV, alarm systems, access control systems, and integrated security platforms
- Proven ability to work independently with high accountability

- Background in close protection, principal protection, or HNW residential security
- Military, police, prison service, or similar operational background
- Familiarity with managing contractors and security-related maintenance schedules
